Good for you Mr. Ed! Hope you enjoyed that strong cup of coffee... it's better than a cigarette!
Crave the Quit!

I notice when I am hungry more often. I just feel so much more in tune with my body's needs now. I'm still getting use to it. But I like it. It's great.

Early on in my quit I read a theory whenever a smoker craved anything, he / she assumed it was for the cigarette. Obviously the smoker has the addiction, but perhaps fails to recognize other cravings in life.
At the weekend, I stayed with a friend. Had to get up early and leave. On my way home, I felt agitated. Was this a bad craving, 7 months into my quit? When I got home, I went into the kitchen and immediately put the kettle on. Then I realised... I had not had my usual (strong) cup of coffee when I got up.
I know that there are other things that I crave....
several fruit juices
lemons!
chilli con carne
a cold beer on a hot day
to name but a few..
I believe that I am entering the world of the 'never smoker' , as a smoker I used to like certain food and drinks - now I really enjoy and look forward to them!
Mr Ed :)

What a great thread Mr.Ed!
Yes, it is true we do have cravings for many things in life. There are days where I just want to have my morning cup of tea. By 11:00am if I do not have my tea, I can't concentrate? Very interesting! Our bodies do work in mysterious ways!
Cheers,
Melanie
