Uh-Oh, my bestest quit buddy is scaring me! You are one of the strongest people I know! You are at the 100 day blahs, a low point. You need to have a stern talking to yourself about how you are viewing life right now. Out with the negative thoughts!!! Come on, and remember, I am keeping MY eye on YOU this time! The rain explains it...I always get a bit blue when it is dark and rainy. That's when I grab a book and go out on the porch swing (got a tin roof there)lots of pillows and a blanket. Read, nap, read, nap...

Marie, I am so sorry I did not see your post earlier. I am sorry that the blues have a hold of you. Beat the crap out them. They don't belong in your space. You have been such a wonderful inspriation to me, it hurts that you are hurting. Yeah, I can see that argument going on inside you. Give them funny faces non smoking could be very clean and proper and smoking could be dirty and all messy with ugly clothes and ugly hair and cig hanging out his mouth. If they are fighting all day I can understand how tired you must be. Give them a time out. Hang in there I need you. Hey Marie Glad you are here. Sounds like you are feeling better and that you enjoyed your shopping. The boots sound "nice". :8o: The cuddles with the grandkids sounds the best. I hope it is sunny and warm where you are. Marie This to shall pass. One day at a time, one step at a time. This lull will turn around shortly. Make sure you have rewarded yourself well for the journey you have made. Pam is right on with distraction, do something fun and that feels very rewarding. I know you have a trip planned and do the fun thing now. Get back to why you quit and hug someone, your hubby, your children anyone you know and who means the world to you. Remind yourself of what a wonderful thing you are doing in choosing life. It will get better. Thanks for posting this and letting us know how you are doing. Oh Marie. Been there, done that. I remember the slump you speak of. Tough time in the quit and a point where a lot of quitters give up and go back to smoking. Don't worry about offending anyone. This is a support group. You need support, you ask for it and we give it. That is how it works. Perhaps a "me" day is in order. I use to call them PJ days. I just didn't feel like doing anything, I thought of smoking constantly and I was at a real low. There isn't a thing wrong with taking a day for yourself. Spend the day infront of the TV watching something funny and napping. You would be amazed at how it can re-energize you. What you are going through is perfectly normal. Hold on tight and know that it will pass and you will be proud of your accomplishment when it does. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 441 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,827 Amount Saved: $1543.5 Life Gained: Days: 38 Hrs: 21 Mins: 27 Seconds: 38

Gosh I totally get it, Marie. I am not a depressive person but around 100 days, I really found myself wondering when or if I would EVER feel myself again. Some of the adrenalin and excitement of the quit was gone, but somehow "joy" seemed elusive. I wasn't in misery, I wasn't having craves, I wasn't full of anger - I was just blah. The rewards helped (massages and great rafting trips)...but mostly it was just time. For me, it was really true, of needing to go through each of the seasons before I really felt myself again. Hang in there like you are....and feel free to whine all you want. The people here were lifesavers for me.
