I am not menopausal and since I have quit I have 'hot flashes' as well - mostly at night. I keep a fan in the room now and use less blankets. bg, Quitting will have different effects on different people. Have you spoken to your doctor. Smoking has a habit of masking problems and when you quit they become more noticeable. It is a good idea to check with your doctor and come up with a plan. Relaxation techniques can help with sleeping, but it is important to contact your doctor and perhaps come up with a plan that is right for you. No matter what the case smoking will not help, it will only hinder you. You are doing well and many symptoms may be present. Use you coping mechanisms and distractions to guide you through those tough days. Hope this helps, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
