smell of smoke ?

17 years ago 0 123 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I agree... It stinks.. I never realised it before.. The only problem I am having is that I don't want to be intimate with my partner because the smell of stale smoke on him makes me want to gag.... I think he's taking some offence at this, we are usually a very affectionate couple, hugging and kissing all the time, but I just can't force myself to do it at the moment.. What to do?? Krissie

circuit, There are times when I really love the smell of smoke and times when I really hate it. Although, as a rule, I usually enjoy the smell of freshly lit cigarettes. I have always liked that smell and still do. The smell I like even more though is the smell of an UNLIT cigarette. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'll take one of my boyfriend's unlit cigarettes and sniff it like mad and I love it! The only smell I hate though is the smell of cigarettes on somebody or stale smoke in a room or a car... YUK! And kissing somebody after they've smoked - EWE!!!!! That's the grossest thing in the world! I can't believe I tasted like that! That makes me sick just thinking about it! :confuse: Crave the Quit! Hi Circuit, that is totally normal. I still do like the smell of a fresh cigaret. I don't mind though. I do think that people who smoke stink ....lol. From what I have read, everyone has different preferences when it comes to this issue. Personally I think it stinks. And on another note ... I didn't fight to beat this deadly addiction to then go and inhale someone else's deadly addiction. No thanks! Circuit, If you search through the forums, you'll see that everyone is different in this area. Some can't stand any form, some like it, everyone's different. Don't worry, totally normal. Members should be along soon to share their experience with you. Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

Amethyst_isis, The only advice I can offer is to talk to your partner about it. You'll either have to get use to it, find some middle ground together or maybe if you're really lucky he'll decide he's ready to start prepping for his quit. I will post this question in a seperate thread so that it receives more attention. Keep us posted, Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hello All; I keeping reading that when you quit smoking you can't stand the smell of smoke . Well where I work everyone smokes except for me. It doesn't bother me to be around anyone smoking. The only time it really bothers me is to get someone car that smoked. It stinks. or go into someones house that smoked. Is this normal to not be affected by others smoking.
