Getting harder

17 years ago 0 49 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Okay all. Here it is day 3 and it is getting alot harder. I am so tired all the time. I really hate this part. I know this is Hell week. I feel discombobulated. Spacy, Lack of focus. My head knows this is normal but dang. I try to talk to my family about it but it seems so disconnected. I think it is very difficult for Non-Smokers to understand why it is soooooo dang hard. Seems like my energy level took a nose dive as well as my concentration. I sure hope I get over this soon. The cravings are there. It is so weird though this time it is different its like the cravings come and then I think of the stink and all the reason why I am quitting and that part subsides. It is the withdrawal. I thought that the patch was supposed to ease that? The cravings are more triggered by my lack of energy and I have a mild stomach ache. I have been exercising, eating the right foods, maybe the act of quitting is exhausting me? aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh I so want to make it. Just frustrated. :8o: Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/10/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 101 Amount Saved: $19.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 30 Seconds: 45

Just hold on! It is difficult but I know you can do it! You are already to day 3, don't go through all of this again. Hang in there! Dear All: Please don't forget how mentally and physically exhausting quitting smoking is, it zaps all your energy. This is a good time to make sure you're eating right, exercising and taking vitamins or supplements. Although sleep is usually off, try to get as much rest as possible. Be gentle with yourself and make sure you indulge in some rewards EVERY day - especially at the start of your quit. Yes, day 3 really and truly stinks ~ it will get a little better each day, try to see the light coming through ~ easy does it, slow and steady win the race. B R E A T H E slowly in and out...... i HATE hell week. 8 more hours to go ... actually 7 hours and 32 minutes hahahaha :) Do you noticed like a magic feeling at the exact one week mark ?? I quit smoking on July 6, 2006 at 6:00pm. It has been 6 days, 16 hours, 27 minutes, and 39 seconds since I quit. Had I not quit smoking, I would have: * Smoked 134 cigarettes (That's like smoking a 45 foot long cigarette) * Spent $28.62 on cigarettes * Inhaled 1.34 grams of tar * Inhaled 106 mg of nicotine (That's like doing 2,006 hits of nicotine) * Inhaled 1.47 grams of carbon monoxide * Taken an additional 19 hours, 47 minutes, and 7 seconds off my life
