I ditto all the advice in Niks's posts. Bravo chicka. Glad to hear you are doing better today Mama. It is amazing how different we feel when we choose to look at situations from a thankful perspective. May God continue to bless you. Keep yourself in a position to receive God's guidance and blessings. Don't loose hope & keep the faith. Hi mama, Don't start borrowing trouble re: the new company bosses until you know what's going to happen. Focus on small solutions to one problem at a time rather than a whole impossible pile. Thank goodness you don't smoke - that will free up so much money! Thank goodness you don't smoke - that means you'll have much clearer thinking. Thank goodness you don't smoke - imagine having to stress about paying for your next packet of cigarettes when you have money worries! Thank goodness you don't smoke - now you have so much more free time to spend on creative solutions instead of sticking your head in the cigarette fog! etc etc etc you can do it mama, cheers alison :) Kick the Herb to the Kerb My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 60 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,801 Amount Saved: $750 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 12 Mins: 12 Seconds: 57

Mama, This has COPE written all over it. If you put COPE with N.O.P.E. and look at the POSITIVE way your life is changing now then your focus will go onto the positive solutions to your current situation. Nothing has happenned yet. Keep your mind free of smoke and focussed on your responsibility to your health, your kids, your home. You are stronger than you even know but you are finding out. We get tested. This is yet just another one, and you will be passing with flying colors too. And we will celebrate you! Look at how well you are doing, how far you are in. Almost 30 days. THAT IS HUGE!!! Keep going. Don't look back. Remember where your attention goes, your power goes. You know what to give your attention to and what NOT to give it to! I am sending many blessings your way, and know that you will be OK!! Eve :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 98 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 784 Amount Saved: $588 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 5 Mins: 57 Seconds: 58

To be a bit harsh tina, that is kind of like telling your kids that smoking is more important than their happiness. I don't wanna be mean, I just wanna help you look at it in a way that makes you hate cigarettes :) I quit smoking on July 6, 2006 at 6:00pm. It has been 1 week, 1 day, 13 hours, 58 minutes, and 7 seconds since I quit. Had I not quit smoking, I would have: * Smoked 172 cigarettes (That's like smoking a 57 foot long cigarette) * Spent $36.73 on cigarettes * Inhaled 1.72 grams of tar * Inhaled 137 mg of nicotine (That's like doing 2,575 hits of nicotine) * Inhaled 1.89 grams of carbon monoxide * Taken an additional 1 day, 1 hour, 23 minutes, and 48 seconds off my life

Hi Mama Melba, You have shown a lot of strength here. You have put the most important things at the top of your list. I know you must have done something right with your children. To have your 24 yr old son to come to your rescue. He saw the need and didn't have to be asked. What a wonderful son... Melba, just keep thinking positive, nothing has happened yet. So just keep believing if one door closes another door will open... Congratulations on your beautiful 28 days, that is fantastic... You are a winner and you will win this war also... Be blessed, Sunshine My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 190 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,239 Amount Saved: $665 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 9 Mins: 39 Seconds: 21

Mama, You have received a lot of good advice! Take what you need and keep it close. Don't add to the stress by buying a pack and keeping yourself down, you have succeeded in counting up 26 days. This is amazing! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
