Don't step down too soon, Shannon. I've made that mistake in previous quits. I intend to do the whole program this time. I really want this quit and if I step down too soon, I don't know what might happen. Like you, my cravings aren't too bad(right now), but who knows what tomorrow brings. Stick with program, you'll be glad you did. Cheers, Jan

I started my 1st quit on Aug 21 (but stumbled) then i reset my quit date to Sept 9(this year).I have been using the patch since i started my 1st quit.
Any way i am woundering now that the worst (i think) of my cravings are gone should i go t o the 2nd step with the patch or wait.

The patches are working great for me and have for several others. Why mess with something that works. Like the saying goes ( If it works, don't fix it) Also I found a big difference stepping down from 21mg to 14mg and had a rough few days adjusting to the decrease in nicotene. Follow the program and you will do fine. Good luck.

I have watched a lot of quitters that used the patches....used them myself....."follow the program".....your odds of winning are MUCH better if you stick to it.
congratulations on quitting!!!

Shannon,
Many members have advised that going through the full program helped them step down gradually and effectively. Continue to use those coping mechanisms and use distraction techniques if needed :)
We are always here to help, so keep strong and please celebrate those 9 days, this is amazing!
Keep Strong,
Josie
