Who is exercising?

18 years ago 0 2027 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Pen, if you take smaller bites you'll get more exercise due to more reps. ;) I've been going to the gym since July. Not steady, I'm afraid, but still much more than I used to do. Mostly treadmill and elliptical, although I've also used the resistance machines. Last month I started with a personal trainer once a week in hopes I'll learn the right way to do things (finally) so I'll make better progress. My goal was to return to my pre-quit weight of 226 before today, but I hit 230 last month and just cannot punch through. Note I'm not doing serious dieting, just trying to eat better than before. However, my clothes fit better/looser than they did a year ago. Must have rearranged something. Good ones, Likewise haven't exercised in over 3+ years. Started may 01, 2006, with Running 3 days per week, then either Biking, weights, swimming, or stretching type workouts 2 other days. On weekends like to let the body relax and do nothing but maybe golf. Keep on Quitting everyone it's tuff but can be done. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 128 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,672 Amount Saved: $640 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 3 Mins: 39 Seconds: 9

I enjoy running on the treadmill while listening to audiobooks. The running burns the cals at a nice rate and I get on to other activities soooner than if I walked. Great thread Breaking Free! There are a lot of advantages of being smoke-free and you have experienced it up close and personal. I enjoyed working out as well once I quit smoking. I have to admit I like the cardio and then work towards strength training. I ran my first 5k after being 6 months smoke-free. Thanks for opening our eyes to the benefits of being smoke-free.
