Yep Dutch, I agree. Positive success stories are needed and such an inspiration to read. When I intially wanted to quit, most all the stories I read about quitting were 'scary' and full of how 'hard' it was to quit - which really fueled my fear. Thanks be to God, I finally overcame that intial fear and quit regardless of it. Once quit and the drug removed, the fear, lies and brainwashing left. I replaced all that with new found knowledge, as Niks put it. I have lost nothing by quitting. I have given myself a gift by quitting. Once the fear left I found quitting to be easy. One's convictions to non-smoker do not have to be difficult to be kept in my opinion, just like many do not find it difficult to hold true to their morals. I choose to love myself and my life ... that means doing good things for my soul and for my body. Thanks Dutch Fini, I really appreciate your kindness :) We can both keep it up and be healthier each day!!!! I quit smoking on July 6, 2006 at 6:00pm. It has been 1 week, 16 hours, 3 minutes, and 34 seconds since I quit. Had I not quit smoking, I would have: * Smoked 153 cigarettes (That's like smoking a 51 foot long cigarette) * Spent $32.82 on cigarettes * Inhaled 1.53 grams of tar * Inhaled 122 mg of nicotine (That's like doing 2,301 hits of nicotine) * Inhaled 1.69 grams of carbon monoxide * Taken an additional 22 hours, 41 minutes, and 42 seconds off my life

I keep telling myself that I am a non smoker. Every time the thought of cigarettes comes up in my mind, I flush it right out and think, that is silly JerLasVegas, you don't smoke. I do the same thing with drinking. In fact, I have gone a step further and subconciously associated many terrible nasty things with smoking and drinking. It's great living without it. Now I just need to continue to have the patience to get through every day! I quit smoking on July 6, 2006 at 6:00pm. It has been 6 days, 20 hours, 5 minutes, and 3 seconds since I quit. Had I not quit smoking, I would have: * Smoked 137 cigarettes (That's like smoking a 46 foot long cigarette) * Spent $29.26 on cigarettes * Inhaled 1.37 grams of tar * Inhaled 109 mg of nicotine (That's like doing 2,051 hits of nicotine) * Inhaled 1.50 grams of carbon monoxide * Taken an additional 20 hours, 13 minutes, and 56 seconds off my life
