Auntie,
Your off to a good start. For right now just concentrate on getting through each day. That straw thing has helped many a smoker to become a non-smoker. For the next couple of days you need to keep your mind occupied with alot of other things so that it doesn't have time to dwell on doing without. Good thing that its Sunday, you can spend alot of time with the non-smokers at church and then head to the park or lake or river (what ever is your equivilent) and spend some time alone in prayer. As good as the straw is it can't touch the benifits of prayer. Go through the whole list, world, country, leaders, Israel, soldiers, families, school, teachers, state, governor, city, mayor, firefighters....everyone that you can think of. And be specific. It is surprising how much time you go through when you do that. Be kind to yourself today and go somewhere nice for lunch or dinner. Do some exercise, or walking. And just hold on. That's the only thing that really has to be done for the next little while, hold on.... Hold on.... Hold On!
Your on my list of people to pray for as well.
Cheryl
