I am using the patch and a huge box of small packets of sun flower seeds. I want this quit badly enough that this has been the easiest quit so far. All previous quits I had a slip with in a day or two. I'm on day 8 and going strong.
I wasn't sure I could go 2 hours without a smoke, but now I'm looking forward to what I'll be like in a year or two. I already notice changes. My family gets closer to me more often (I don't smell), Food is yummy, and I notice that all my thoughts about not smoking are not any different then thoughts about smoking. I think about smoking as much as I did before, except this time I'm just putting "No" in front of the thought. The thoughts are getting less by the day, but of coarse at 8 days, I've got a ways to go too.
Sounds like you want to quit, but you're the only one who knows. When I started I wasn't sure I could do it, but I _KNEW_ I wanted to. 1 day after I quit, I'm now 100% sure this is the one. That doesn't make it easier, it just makes it the last time I'm going to have to do it. I take it a day at a time, sure, but I also think ahead a week knowing that by next week, this weeks quit will be behind me... And 1 week sure does go by fast.
