I'm so sorry I didn't see this sooner!!! Zazz and akevall, the craving isn't one whole long 100 day crave. Please don't think that it's like that. It does get better and you will have ups and downs and good and bad days... but that's called life!!! The craving that hits at 100 days is hard for a lot of people, but don't let that discourage you! It's much better than living a life of addiction and slowly killing yourselves! Keep going and don't let go! For me, the second week was worse than the first, but then after that, you start to feel the freedom of quitting. Hang on and hang tough! Crave the Quit! I got plenty of positive attitude! This is possible folks. The craves you might get later on are NOTHING like what you are going through now. Stick with this. It is soooo worthy it. One day you will look back and wonder what in the heck took you so long. In the meantime, whine, cry, scream, throw dishes, whatever - just don't take a puff. Withdrawal does NOT last forever! zazz & aekvall!!! Hey you two! I just want you to know that not everyone suffers with the "100 day crave" thing; it is quite possible that it won't happen to either of you. It didn't happen to me or many others that I know so don't think it's a given in this quitting lark and any way, at your stage, you are quitting by the hour, by the day and you will not benefit at this stage by looking at 100 days or beyond. Do this one day at a time and for now concentrate on day 11 & 9 respectively, just for today. I did it, you two do it too! Penitent d758

I have a big "attitude" toward Ole Mr Nic and I am sending it your way. He's one dirty disgusting and deadly ole feller. He gets in your head and starts drumming away. You have to learn to kick him out by distracting yourself in various ways. don't look too far forward. Just take care of now. Tell yourself that this is a "choice". You choose to not smoke....it's not that you can't?....but not doing it is your choice. Realize that YOU haven't been in control of things....your addiction has....now YOU take the reins....the junky in your starts rebelling. Like a nasty little toddler, he has to have his fits....has to try to get his way. Deal with him firmly.....don't let yourself be drawn into dwelling on the craving. Acknowledge it, then turn and busy yourself with some distraction. It will pass without lighting up. and the truth is,,,you ARE okay....it's HIM that isn't doing so well......he hasn't had a fix, and that is telling on him.
