I WILL NOT DO IT!!!!!!!

This is so sad....I lasted maybe 10 min. in the pool before I was so out of breath. My husband is still not home with the youngest yet, they are doing an accident report. I am going to go shower and go to bed. Tomorrow I am selling all my children and my husband on E-bay. I will, however, remain smoke-free with a permanent dent in the front left fender of my car. This is a conspiracy, isn't it? I gotta make fun, otherwise I will spend the rest of my life in tears!

I made it through the night without smoking and my family members are all still alive. I decided I kind of like them, so I changed my mind about E-bay. Today is much better! Just a small dent in the fender-no big deal.

Hi hurstk - This is a time that I would like to gently remind you that each of us is in choice, each moment... This addiction is Hell... the journey is really, really tough and there are twists and turns that show up out of nowhere... And we are in choice... If you are really wanting to Quit more than you want to smoke, you will... Are you willing to make a commitment to yourself that when and if you want to light up, you will come here first, and wait for 5 people to respond? Karen, You can do this... We're all doing this -one moment at a time. Swimming is so good - distrations are the best in hard times... So sorry about the deer and the car. Do you have the SSC instant messenger? If you do, IM me for extra support... Karen, It only seems like it will be the rest of your life in tears. Once you cry a small stream of tears then you refill and cry a river. Then the sun comes out to shine and the tears dry up. Hang in there and keep your sense of humor. You are doing great. BTW if the ebay thing works out, please let me know... I've got some people I could get rid of too :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 383 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,678 Amount Saved: $1340.5 Life Gained: Days: 33 Hrs: 20 Mins: 3 Seconds: 18

Hurstk... It is times like these that you do not leave the house. Take some deep breaths. You gave into the junkie before so now the nicodemon thinks if he pesters you just a bit more you will give in again. Prove him wrong. You are in charge not that junkie thinking. You know that smoking will not make you feel better. You know that all smoking will do is KILL you. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but do you really want to go out like that. Not me. Hand on tight and yell at the nicodemon. Tell him to go away and leave you alone. Take your life back from the enslavement. You will be so glad you did. Read, read, read and post post post. NOPE is how we all quit. One day at a time, one step at a time. Hurst, Start making a list of coping mechanisms, activities, hobbies and chores. Also make a list of those rewards you may want. As the crave comes on use anything from your list to distract you and keep you occupied. Once you reach a milestone you can reward yourself! This will make a difference and make sure you do take it day by day! Post often and let us guide you! Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
