The really tricky thing about that, and I do agree, it really does seem so, but the intellegence you see is your own smarts! It's soooo tricky and deceptive! The nicotine is a thing, not a being. You are the being that is speaking to you and you are very smart and well versed on how to get you to smoke and what pushes your buttons! That is a good thing to say.
