I'm finding that I really have to Post

18 years ago 0 58 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
agreed, I started my quit when I had two good days and did nothing that the first day, and almost nothing the second day, but by posting I feel like I'm more involved and more inclined to stick around and stick with it. Now tommorrow on day 3 I'll actually try to leave the house. Great to hear from someone who has been smoke-free since 1/2002. It's an inspiration. I know it can be done, but I need to sometimes hear from those who have done it. I really have to tap into what is going on and keep posting. I would like to see others post a lot as well. Realize it is not the same for everyone. bgain I posted and posted and posted, it helped me so much to get through those first few weeks. Then something happened and it got quiet here. So I felt a bit silly posting - but dont.. I know that it can help. Many of us heal and get better, when we do, we tend to post less. Posting is so theraputic. I believe it really does help to keep you quit. bgh, you have your own wonderful style of posting. I really like it. It's almost like a stream of consciousness thing. I enjoy reading your posts and seeing what's going through your mind every day. I've noticed other people have styles, too. It's what makes this site so much fun. oh yeah....remember that feeling really well....learned to wear my nails really short when I quit.....lots of time beating this keyboard. LOL sometime back...this site was revamped...we all had to "join" anew. (whatever my joined date says, I really joined in January of 2002) At the time of renewal, I had somewhere around 3000 posts....I had to start all over again WAAHHH! :8o: LOL what I am telling you is that is it FINE to feel an uncontrolable urge to post!! Posting brings you in, it's the glue that sticks you to the quit....it's the way you vent, the way you fight self pity, the way you fight anger, the way you fight feeling like no one understands, the way you manage some humor in the midst of all this teethgnashing ordeal LOL Get on here and make this your home for a spell.....it's a wonderful place....attach yourself to someone that can either be a coach or a partner as you crawl, claw and fight your way through the journey or quitting. this helps YOU and it in turn helps OTHERS. Keep right at it! kick butt!!
