My BIG reward

17 years ago 0 21 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I am 24 days smoke free and for the first time I had no cravings or missing a smoke. I've had up days and down days, days of pride and days of anger, but I passed hell week, I passed week 2 even if I did get angry and depressed, I passed week 3 with a sense of pride, I'm now in weeek 4 and going strong. I wrote down in the beginning of this program what I wanted out of my life and what I would reward myself with the money I saved in 6 months, I got the best reward 4 days ago. My husband who has been smoking for 36 years has decided to QUIT smoking!!! The first thing my husband does when he wakes up is light up, he has joined the support group and read to delay a smoke. The first morning he delayed it by 30 min. Today 2 HOURS!! Jamie I am so proud of you. This is the best reward I could ever receive. Thank you. Hiya Bonny, How amazing are you 24 days is fantastic. I remember walking around with the biggest smile on my face coz i had done it....i never thought it was possible... dare i step over the line and actually NOT have to smoke. Its euphoric, the total sense of pride you have in yourself, to me, is euphoric. I wish your husband all the very best, you know what to expect and who better to guide him through this but you. I think the 2 hour delay is awesome, i conciously quit by delaying that next sickarette. I hope you both have a wonderful weekend. Bonny, That is wonderful news! I'm kinda hoping the same thing will happen in my house, but I don't say a word. I know my hubby can do it, he's got willpower of steel. You're doing an amazing job, you're setting a great example Andrea My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 80 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,607 Amount Saved: $380 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 18 Mins: 11 Seconds: 57

Bonny - What a wonderful example you have been for your husband. He must be very proud of you for your 24 days - time really does fly doesn't it? Ya'll are embarking on the most wonderful thing that you can do for yourselves. Just remember how hard it is at first - be loving, caring and supportive...even when he might be a bear. My husband tried and just couldnt' do it - so I wish yours success! Keep Strong! and I am proud of you!
