sometimes it just feels that everything happens at the same time..and yes,it is... but you know something? Menopause is something that you can't change..you husband has to support you and if he can't just avoid arguing..you daugther decided to go away and stand on her feet... and the story goes on..and we will always have stories to go on. I'm sorry if i'm a little hard and maybe i'm too young to understand somethings..but what about YOU? this is something for YOU!! Try to put everyone and everything where it belongs and start over!! Lighting one up never changed/solved/helped our problems...no? Next time you will be ready to light one..come here! A LOT of support! And A LOT OF INTEREST! there's always someone to talk to.... Stay close!! he did it he got me thats all i have to say. I wasnt feeling well on the weekend and for some unknown reason he made me feel better. In my mind i know, but i will get up and start again. Between menopause, not smoking, argumentive husband, daughter 18 not living at home, father 92 slowly slipping away dam it what else could i do but give in. Tell me what else is there to do, without going totally insane and in a institution. I am going to take a breather sort my life out a bit and be back again My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 308 Amount Saved: $181.25 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 17 Mins: 12 Seconds: 52

Hi Healthier Me - Why didn't you come here and ask us for some help and support prior to firing up????? Ugh, you really need to give us a chance to help you. You can quit for good, you just have to want to keep quit more than you want to smoke. healthier me- There will always ALWAYS be a ton of really good (and not so good) excuses to smoke, but never, NEVER a reason... What else is there to do, you ask? 1) come here and ask for help BEFORE lighting up 2) call a friend 3) take a nap 4) write a letter 5) meditate or pray 6) paint a wall 7) go for a walk 8) well, you get the idea... Taking a break sounds like another excuse to keep smoking. Just so ya know - we've all been there - and we are there, so it's kind of hard to make excuses to a bunch of addicts :) (smile) We will be here when you are ready. healthier: You can quit. When I slipped, I used it as a learning experience. Triggers I didn't know existed. And this time around, I'm more prepared. I know what to expect, and how bad it can get. Stick with us. We all love you. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Healtherme... You know that all you are saying is junkie talk. You have been around long enough to know that. Sorting things out is another way of saying, I just want to smoke for a while longer. That is ok. We have all been there too I'm sure. I know I have. When your desire to quit outweighs your desire to smoke, you will quit. Don't give up on yourself. Quitting isn't easy but you can do it. Believe in yourself. healthier me, First, did smoking make it so that you are not going through menapause? Did it make your husband not be argumentative? Did it cause your 18 year old daughter to move out? Did it cause your father's health to improve? I'm certain that the answer to all of these questions is No. So, what exactly does smoking do for you? Well, let me answer that for you... it's a coping mechanism. It causes you to take a break from whatever is going on and take deep breaths... you can still do that! Whenever the stress gets to be too much, take a break and calm down... smoking will NOT make all of your troubles go away! Healthier me, you don't need to take a break... that sounds like an excuse to me! You'll be throwing away 25 hard-earned days. Are you sure you want to do that? If so, then take a break, but come back to us soon! Crave the Quit! healthier, You can do this. If you need time to sort things out, know that smoking will not help you one bit. Take time to have your coping mechanisms ready and let us guide you :) We are ready when you are, Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
