Darcy,
I cannot comment on the slip thing, as this is my first quit, and I have not put a cig to my mouth, or had any nicotene for that sense, since March 5th. I think it is a personal choice on the meter thingy.
Believe me, this is HARD. But it is doable. You have to fight, and promise yourself that no matter how hard it gets, you will NOT go to the store and buy some cigs. Instead, promise yourself that whenever you get a craving, and you feel it is too much, you will come here first. The SSC is a wonderful coping mechanism. But it is up to you to stay true to your own word, as you are only battling yourself.
Each time you fight off a crave, brings you that much closer to freedom!! Take your life back. Take your thoughts and energy back and do something healthy instead!! This is your life, and it is worth fighting for!!
Stay with us, and reach out to us!! We are all here for you!! We will walk with you on your journey, just let us!!!
