Hi Phil, I'm on the patch too and I've heard its really bad to cut patches. Going down to the next level of patch might be more effective if you think you are ready My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 888 Amount Saved: $121.52 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 10 Mins: 45 Seconds: 25

I have been on 15mg patches for 35 days now and this morning have not put one on ,I have been awake for 5 hours now and am starting to feel better all the time.Much better than yesterday and much calmer than yesterday when I had the patch on!!! I have a patch in my pocket in case I get the collywobbles but right now I certainly dont need it. It definitely is the best day I have had for weeks..... Weird or what? I will continue the story as it unfolds... Phil, I'm glad that you know you well enough to know when to put the patch on!!! Like I said earlier, it's not cheating to use NRT and it's nothing to be ashamed of. The patch is designed to help you learn how to be a non-smoker while still giving you a little bit of support to ease you into it... there's nothing wrong with that. Experiment over! From now on, it's probably a good idea just to stick to the program. You'll be ready to go nic-free someday, but now's obviously not the time and that's fine! Hang in there! Let us know how you're doing today! Crave the Quit!
