Join me in an experiment

I went with the patches and I had good and bad days, but I foloowed the program as outlined and it worked!! My advice would be to stick with the program. You have come this far and wouldn't want to blow it with an experiment. Having the patch in your pocket and slapping it on when you get a crave may not work, would you want to risk that? I would step down but I wouldn't quit at this point. Just my humble opinion. Its not easy but its worth it. Phil: Please...do not play with fire. Follow your program closely. This is not a rehearsal, it's the REAL thing. I used the 3 levels of the patch. One level a month. In the last month, I kept a "spare supply" just in case, because I didn't want to lose what I had. So "stick" to it ok? This is what happened to me by sticking to it: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1271 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 25,432 Amount Saved: $10803.5 Life Gained: Days: 164 Hrs: 21 Mins: 41 Seconds: 29

Sorry Phil....I'm gonna be the BAD "guy". I'm not sure why you would choose to use NRT and then "experiment" with it?? Why?? If it's working for you why "risk" a problem. Hey, I'm sure you'll be fine ..... and I certainly hope that you are, but I'm sorry.......I don't agree with joining you in this. Phil, Thanks for sharing! Use this time to have coping mechanisms on hand and you will fair well. You may or may not need to continue with the patch program and the choice is yours. Do not put yourself in position that threatens your quit :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
