Just think how bad the house must've smelled when you both smoked. I too never imagined I stunk that bad. Fortunately for me my hubbie doesn't smoke. I feel horrible for the stench I put him through all those years!! I just bought a new Febreeze plug in air freshener and I love it. Walked into the kitchen this morning where my stinky dog sleeps and it actually smelled really good. Get one for every room and do laundry often. Good luck D2Q My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/29/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 142 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,851 Amount Saved: $426 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 4 Mins: 35 Seconds: 28

I need help here. Some of you know my husband and I quit together back in the beginning of June 2006. Well, I stuck with my quit and my husband decided to start back up in August. It STINKS...I am no longer ticked off that he smokes...It honestly bothers me because it STINKS like wet ashtrays. He does not smoke in the house but it is on his clothes which means the smell does go into the house wherever those clothes are. Its in his hair, his breath etc etc. I do not want this to turn into a fight between he and I but geesh, give me a break. I've invested in Yankee Candles and they love it (the company that is) but sometimes the smell is stronger than my candels HELP....ANY suggestions would be appreciated!!!!! Cheermom, We are going through the exact same thing! My hubby and I quit together, I remain quit, he isn't. He does not smoke in the house, but it is so true~ the smell follows him. My house has a lingering scent of ashtray........ I walk around the house spraying Fabreeze, everywhere. It does help, to an extent. He knows why I do this, and sometimes it ticks him off, but I will not stop. The stench is gross!! I also make sure I am up-to-date with laundry. Having his smelly clothes in the bedroom really stinks it up. So I do laundry every day. Just remember, he is an addict. Do not let his addiction build up a wall between you two. It is hard, but if you pressure him, or make him feel bad, he will only back away. Remember how you felt when you smoked, and you had a non smoker tell you about your smoking habit. It made me mad, and I smoked even more! As if I was proving something..... Keep your positives loud and clear! He IS looking at you, and your quit. Just be there for him, he may eventually come around again. ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Life My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 227 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,825 Amount Saved: $742.29 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 7 Mins: 23 Seconds: 24
