Hi, tonight hubby and I went to a social event, a charity dinner. There was a cocktail at 6.oo and then a five course dinner. These things seem to last forever when I smoked, I so wanted a cig. Tonight I really enjoyed myself, the live band, hubby and I twirled around on the dance floor, never out of breath. I never once thought about smoking, we just got home and I wanted to share this with you. I can still smell my perfume. So to all of you just beginning the journey, please be patient and ride the waves, it's not easy but doable, I never thought I could do it, I was scared to even begin quitting, but here I am 4 + months later still free from the addiction, it is soooo worth it. Don't quit quitting, use all your coping skills, just choose not to smoke for today and you will realise today has turned into 4 months and on and on . One day at a time :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 130 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,950 Amount Saved: $520 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 3 Mins: 32 Seconds: 17
