Dont know if this is a good day for quitting or not. But I guess anytime is a good time to quit. I have been working on this for one year. Not a newbie anymore. I know that it is my fault, that I have not won this battle. I know how much better you feel without cigs, because I have quit several times in the past year. But here I am starting all over again. Hell week, Heck week, etc. I am so tired of this nasty habit, some say just dont smoke. I wish it was that easy for me and for everyone else. Nic has been part of my life for so long, it is hard to let go of this nasty habit. But I need to do this. I want to be in control, I dont want nic to control me. I think that once I am in control and dont smoke anymore, I will feel much better about myself and about life. I just need to get past this need for nicotine. My mom has emphysima, my dad died from cancer, my brother smokes 3 cartons a week, my sister is bipolar and says here cigs are her sanity. How many more reasons do I need to quit. Sorry to go on about this, but that is what is going through my brain right now. Well I need to get ready for work. Will see how the day goes. Sure hope it gets better Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Hi Cuddles, So, how did it go today? One thing that I have realized with all my quits, relapsing, quitting again, etc. etc. is that time goes by, no matter what we are doing. If I never would have taken that one puff after my last quit, I would be free right now. Time is going to pass. Are we going to keep ourselves in a constant state of withdrawal? Or are we going to keep our eyes on the prize, put one foot in front of the other each day until we realize true freedom from nicotine? Either way, time passes. I'm with you. You can do this.
