REWARDS

Hi guys, I was just wondering and maybe we can start this thread. What kind of rewards do you all give your self? At what stage and what rewards should we be giving our self. Maybe we can compile some sort of list from the help of quitters that are off for longer then us. We can compile a list and maybe that will help us as well. Post away your rewards at: 1 week 2 week 3 week 4 week 2 months 3 months 6 months 8 months 10 monts 1 YEAR Thanks My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 73 Amount Saved: $12 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 41 Seconds: 29

Just feeling loaded is a reward in itself to me. I go to the shops, and the bill at the end not buying cigarettes, is SO cheap! I feel like I am getting my goods for free every day. I always find that amazing. I got my hair done the other day. My biggest reward, is that i am due to go on Holiday end of August, it looked like I wasnt going to have any money for spending money. But as I quit and was previously spending 150.00 a month on cigarettes. I can now save that money and will have 450.00 to spend on my holiday. Which is great! How many handbags can I buy for that?? hehe My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 73 Amount Saved: 15 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 47 Seconds: 39

Rainne - that's a GREAT IDEA. I'm so glad I read your post. I have been looking for something to do other than shop cause I am definitely spending more than I am saving. AND, something creative will keep my hands and mind busy in down time. I'm becoming exhausted from literally constantly running to keep myself from stopping. THANKS! BreakingFree those are some amazing rewards! I'm a scrapbooker, so I've been rewarding myself with scrapping supplies that I wouldn't normally be able to justify the costs of. My stamp and tool supply has grown a lot lol. I've spent more on rewards than I've saved on cigs, but those rewards are really important for keeping me on track right now. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 262 Amount Saved: $59.5 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 2 Mins: 17 Seconds: 40

For Two weeks, last night, my daughter and I went out to eat at olive garden and then we got our nails, feet and eyebrows done. We won't be able to do that all the time though because my money saved was only $70.00 or something and we spent $130.00. I am going to go shopping this weekend to find out how much a gold N.O.P.E. bracelet may cost me that I really like. Then when I have saved that much money, I will buy it. The more I think about that bracelet the more I like the idea. My husband and I have been out to eat twice I think. I got an ipod for one of my rewards and for my month reward I have promised myself that when I buy accessories for my remodeled bathroom that I will buy what I want and not look at the price tags. My husband has gotten his car washed inside and out at the car wash places. (We usually clean them ourselves instead of pay). This weekend he will be getting some new basketball tennis shoes for his month reward. Cigarettes Not Smoked

I'm spending more than I am saving as well ... but you know what? I don't care! I'm not smoking! I am going to splurge a little bit. It isn't like I never bought anything for myself while I was smoking. So now I can spend a little more and it still averages out.
