ROFL @ Cyberduke! I am at 40 days ... all I think about is not smoking/my recovery. It is a hell of a lot better than thinking about when I am going to get my next fix. ;p You are normal Navigator! Whatever normal is around here! heh! ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,223 Amount Saved: $160 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 10 Mins: 20 Seconds: 1

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

It is very normal, especially the first few days. Thinking about smoking... or not smoking... is definitely something that you should accept. I have been quit now for about 37 days. Everyday, I remember that I don't smoke. Everyday, I log in here. You are not going to magically forget you smoked! Talk about it here. :) Mira My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 37 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 753 Amount Saved: $129.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 21 Mins: 38 Seconds: 32

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

In the beginning that was all I thought about in my waking and sleeping hours. Made me quite moody also. Then I had 3 days of not one thought of smoking and the BAM back in my brain (and sleep) last night. Today was rough but not nearly as bad as the first few days. hang in there it will get easier My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 367 Amount Saved: $56.7 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 7 Mins: 5 Seconds: 28

Navigator, Yes, as everyone has said, you are quite normal. I know that that's not much of a relief for you. However, just remember what a great thing you are doing for yourself! Eventually, you won't think about it as much... you'll go to the movies and think "Hey! I made it a whole 2 hours without thinking once about a cigarette!" And that's a great feeling! And then, you'll be spending a wonderful day with friends or family and the next day think "OMG! I didn't think about smoking all day yesterday!!!" It's amazing when it happens and it WILL happen for you! Don't lose heart. Yes, quitting is hard... if it were easy, there would be no reason for the SSC as there would not be any smokers at all in this world. Unfortuately, it's not easy, but like most things that are hard, it is sooooooooo worth it! Keep up the awesome work! Crave the Quit!
