thanks all - and Philip - I'll try the rolling in the grass or hay - failing that, I'll find an Internet cafe. And when I get back, it's the 6-12 Club. I'll find a place for you after I arrive! Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 165 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,971 Amount Saved: 1237.5 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 15 Mins: 3 Seconds: 27

Yes Lady, I Think that you are right. I am stressed, but I know that I will not smoke. My point about Jacko is this - I believe that for a lot of people, going on holiday is a significant trigger in itself. I have 160 odd days behind me, Jacko only had 2 weeks or so. I understand why Jacko had a 'blip' in his quit; I don't believe that I will. I am now very proud of my quit. There is no going back. Speak soon and thank you, Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 165 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,973 Amount Saved: 1237.5 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 15 Mins: 20 Seconds: 45

Going on holiday at the weekend. This involves getting on a plane (not one of my most pleasurable experiences in life). And Jacko's post re slipping on his holiday - since my quit I have been worried about this holiday. BUT - tonight I am stressed, more than I have been since I started my quit and I DO NOT WANT TO SMOKE. Hopefully I will find Internet access while I'm away; otherwise, see you all in a couple of weeks Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 165 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,970 Amount Saved: 1237.5 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 14 Mins: 59 Seconds: 4

Mr. Ed Destress, breathe, relax yourself. Roll in the grass or hay. There have been other stressful times in this quit. You have posted about them. Don't let whatever the stress is get to you, instead, dump the stress find something else to occupy your mind and relax yourself. I had to go away in May for a while and I gathered together my favorite reading from here some of it printed out at 50 or 60 pages and I took this book with me. I made sure I had lots of little goodies to reward myself and knew that I could only go so long without food drink and rejuvination. I made sure that on the road I had these minor seeming and really major items taken care of. I found a great post about HALY and made sure that I got through without being Hungry, Angry, Tired or Lonely. See if you can find an internet cafe and check in. Have fun on your vacation. Here is the HALT post HALT Post by Lady Cheers Phillip :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 161 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,233 Amount Saved: $1207.5 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 8 Mins: 26 Seconds: 40

Mr. Ed, You will be just fine. You know exactly what to do. You have been doing it for almost six months now. Be confident in all that you have learned. You have come so far since you arrived here. Keep your coping skills close at hand and tuck away a couple of your favorite posts in case of emergency. I don't know why you would want to smoke. You are a quitter and quitters don't smoke. :) Everything you need is right inside of you. You are a strong and courageous individual who is a natural leader around here. I have no doubt that you will be back in a couple of weeks telling us how wonderful your trip was as a non-smoker. Have a great time! You deserve it!
