Kat, Congrats on becoming nicotine free! Although the nicotine may have left your body, you may still experience cravings and withdrawals in the days to come. Should that happen, be kind to yourself and have your coping strategies @ the ready. Good luck and check back soon! Danielle __________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi all, I am just starting to feel comfortable in my quit. Don't get me wrong I am still on my toes about N.O.P.E... but I am starting to know what others were refering to when describing the point when "this whole thing gets easier" as when you stop feeling sorry for your self. It is getting easier to simply push thoughts of smoking right out of my head. I have been on the 21mg patch for the first 18 days of my quit when I simply took it off. I wanted to be normal and not NEED anything to get through the day...well I need coffe but you know what I mean. I thought that I would turn into super b*tch or something but it really wanst that bad. I mean slightly more uncomforatble that with the patch but not much worse...no joke. I don't know If it was all in my head of if the worst is yet to come but I am on day 3 since taking it off and from what I hear the nic should be out of my body after today. does that mean that the "worse" part of the withdrawls are over after today??? I hope so because that would mean that the transition was virtually pain free...thanxs for listening. kat My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 433 Amount Saved: $105 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 10 Mins: 24 Seconds: 54

Kat, congratulations on 21 smoke-free days, that is so great! I didn't use patches so I might not be the best one to answer your question, but I think you should be prepered to have some cravings from time to time. That the nicotine has left your body dosn't mean that you won't have cravings. Good luck to you and I am sure you will doing fine!
