Here is an old post that may be helpful to you. Don't go bad to smoking. It is very difficult and self consuming to quit; you don't want go back and do it again.
Work with wife to estabish a new quit date for her, only when she is ready; else it won't work. Don't second hand breathe that stuff. You don't want to be around that smoke. It can wear you down if you are around to much. Here is the post:
I am amazed at the number of people who have quit for many, many months or years and somehow get caught up smoking again. Dont do this. Once you quit, you are quit and that is a final. You can not allow yourself to be caught up in an exceptional moment and think that having a smoke will somehow fill a void. Your assumption that, for the moment, I think it may help me, but how about the way you may feel tomorrow, about the choice.
If blessed with the quit, continue with it, and be grateful that you have it. Help others to arrive at your destination and conclusion that, not to light up can be a conscious choice, not just an overwhelming habit.
