Oh, great post! Thanks, your so right! It's so funny because I just started using that lil catch phrase recently too...and it is so true. If we are aware and know what is to come be can be prepared to face it head on!!! Very cool! i probably wasn't to clear on my original post . so let me start this thing off. 1) i made a pact with myself.... "i will stop smoking for at least one year even if it kills me" one & a bit years later i'm still alive & 'smoke-free' 2) i'm going to stay a non-smoker cos i really love the person that i've become. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 568 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 14,206 Amount Saved: $3692 Life Gained: Days: 81 Hrs: 10 Mins: 3 Seconds: 35

o.k., so i used this in a previous post but reacon this may clear up a few mis-conceptions.. I personally know someone who tried to stop smoking using..... the patch, Gum, the patch & gum, the patch & Gum + cigarettes, 2 x Hypno & 2 x Cold turkey's all in the space of 2 years, this does not include previous failed attempts over the 15 years of addiction. It goes to show, no matter what you're cure.. you need some serious Amo to tackle this thing head on ! I guess Knowledge & the right frame of mind goes a long way to kicking this sucker up the butt. Knowledge is power so Go hard all you nicotine fighting junkies ! Hi Kiwi, I know in my heart and in my gut that this is the "forever" quit for me. I smoked for 40 years and had quit a couple of times, never understanding the process that I needed to do. This quit I have done with the help of SSC and many friends here. But I also did it with sheer determination to the point of obnoxiousness -- letting nothing come between me and my quit. This has been an evolving time for me, and I like me much better now!
