OK, "WANT" TIME AGAIN...... KIND OF FUNNY I SEE A PATTERN HERE WITH ME. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, I USED TO PICK UP A CIG. HUSBAND TELLS ME BASICALLY THAT HE ISN'T SURE WHEN BUT THAT HE REALLY FEELS HE WILL SMOKE AGAIN. I'M LIKE, GREAT, NOTHING LIKE LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE TO SMOKE..WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? AFTER HE TELLS ME, i'VE BEEN IN A SLUMP EVER SINCE. I CAN'T GET OUT OF IT AND I DONT EVEN CARE ABOUT MY REWARD (CAUSE HE IS GOING ON THE FAMILY VACATION). I HAVE MY TOOLS IN PLACE BUT SCARED IT WONT WORK. HELP!!!! Mama, Why the emotions now??? now I'm crying and dang I haven't had this since week one (possibly two). This just isn't me and the emotions were not this bad for a while now. If I could, I would scream right now but I may scare a couple of the older engineers here (actually that would be fun). I'm breathing but sometimes I feel I can't even catch my breath. Ok, vent time because that is what I do because all of a sudden I'm really really wanted to walk out of my office building and get in my car and get a pack of cigs and then hide (yes, hide) and smoke. Pathetic. What the heck is wrong with me??? I dont want to go through hell week again, but geesh this craving sucks. Sometimes my brain plays russian roulette and not understanding it. I also started to bargain with the nicodemon and I dont want too. Just worried that I'm getting closer and closer to actually carrying out this so-called warped fantasy of smoking. This is totally not good....I was so positive and wanted to help everyone today and BOOM there goes nicodemon. I leave work in 1 1/2 hours and I really dont trust myself. I'm so mad. I came straight home and now going to work off some of the anger and especially the craving. Good Lord this is NOT fun and I keep reminding myself I do not want to go through hell week. That was not a party let me tell you....(hey remember I'm just going to ramble for a minute). I stopped crying but who the heck knows how long that will last. A co-worker looked at me weird and I just started crying earlier. I found out my best friend from high school is pregnant with her first child and I wanted a smoke...Now how warped is that thinking??? I'd say pretty sick. I will try to just work this off. Ok I made it through 24 hours of heck without smoking. I am sorry I didn't sign on and let you know I was alright (especially Lady). I didn't trust myself so I threw myself into my work and boy I regret that because now I'm pooped. With my one year anniversary coming up of my car accident (nightmares come with this one) and with my daughter leaving for college soon, things started to hit too close for comfort. My husband and I decided we would take a vacation to distract me from everything that felt like it was caving in. We are traveling back east (driving too lol) to see his parents as I thoroughly enjoy them (and they are NON SMOKERS!!!). I am trying to take one day at a time and even wrote BREATHE on post-its to remind me to breathe slowly. So finally, my big reward is this trip coming up on the 23rd. I wanted to remain so positive for everyone else lately I forgot about staying positive for myself. I wont be leaving for a week so I have one more week to conquer then my reward (oh and then my stats also go up :p ) Thanks so much for the encouragement and I stayed true to myself and my quit. Kim, Fight it with everything you have! You are stronger than this addiction. Besides.... Isn't it better to have all those emotions inside verses 891 more cigarettes? Stay Strong! Peace of mind from cravings can come when you least expect it. :8|: I am so relieved. I was very worried about you. :) I'm really glad you made it through. Life can be tough but smoking never solved a thing. We only thought it would. You are doing great and I am really proud of you. You do what YOU have to do to stay quit. Focus on you and make sure to take care of you. If you have to step back and drown yourself in work, then that is what you do. Sounds like a nice reward. It is so cool to be able to take trips without having to worry about smoking and even better to be around non-smokers without having to excuse yourself for the horrible addiction. Enjoy your trip. Keep taking those deep breaths and taking one step at a time. Cheermom.... Nope... No smoking allowed. You cannot do it (smoke that is). I don't know why you would want a cigarette. Perhaps you forgot. You don't smoke any more sweetie. People who don't smoke, don't smoke and you are one of those people now. Deep breaths. Remember? Deep, deep breaths. Go ahead and cry. Kick, scream, fight, cry, break dishes, punch a pillow, whatever it takes... just don't smoke. And if none of that works you still don't smoke. Go read some of those positive posts in the other forum again. They are there for you. Remember you are a quitter. Look how far you have come. The is no way you want to go back to hell week and start all over again. So people look at you crazy at work. Oh well. My coworkers thought I was losing my mind too. They got over it. Now we laugh about it every now and then. I'm going to bump another thread for you called "Don't give up on yourself" it's in the general forum. Let us know how you are doing.
