Ann, I'm sorry I didn't see your post yesterday too!!! I am still trying to learn how to navagate around the site. The only thing I have to add to all the great advise you have already gotten is that it passes. I have had to learn that the hard way. I am just now at two weeks and still I can be fine one min. and the next horrible. But then the next I can be fine again. It's kind of like the weather here in Houston texas, If you don't like it right now, wait a while, it will change. Thank you soooo much for the names Zany! I have wanted to do that and havn't had the patience to go through the thread (that lack of concentration thing) So anyone who wants to join, you can copy the list, paste it into your post and add your name. Let's be sure to all check in as much as possible so we can know if we are losing someone. It would be sooooo awsome to have everyone with us a year from now! In case you havn't gotten a chance to read my despirate posts, I had a slip this weekend but I am here now and not leaving. I reset my quit meter. I'm not going to let any of you down. cinda, I think I had you, but forgive me if I miss someone and don't realize it. I try to copy the list and add the new ones, but I'm still not the greatest at navigating the site. Here it is again: Stoppin Mama healthier me Rainee jeanigirl sullydog Andy Smoke=Sick Julie cheermom nomad1973 Darcy zazz niks Jonlin aekvall (1 week) Zany cinda Jessy Nipper (1 week) skidoo1967 kolativey saranico (2weeks) beekeeper marie butt its over Beb navigator jessy julie Ann-->had enough kate This is my check in for this morning. I am feeling really pretty good and GUESS WHAT-MY DAUGHTER HAS DECIDED TO QUIT TOO!!!! It's really kind of a funny thing because the reason she wants to quit is funny. When I quit, I told her that I wouldn't buy her cigs anymore, (she is not quite 18) and she had her grandmother buy her some. (she has a job so she could pay for them). Well, my mother bought her a carton of Kools, which are menthol and harsher than what we normally would buy. So she is not feeling well and the menthol is making her cough. I am certainly not going to tell her that she would be fine if she went back to our non menthol light brand!!! So she is going to quit when she runs out. She smokes very little at this point so she may not have much trouble, but i told her if she does, I will gladly pay for some patches for her too. I am so happy that soon there will not be any cigs in my house. That is going to make it soooooo much easier for me! Today is my doctors appointment and I am going to ask for Zyban too. I'll let you know how it goes tonight. How is everyone doing? Hey june-bugs, mama here checking in still smoke free. Good news and bad news. The bad news is I had a fight with my 13 year old today, good news, I didn't get a crave to smoke from it! Also, good news, my daughter ran out of cigarettes and so today was her quit date. Last night she cleaned out all the cig stuff from her room, so I HAVE NO CIGARETTES IN MY HOUSE! I can't tell you how much easier that make it for me! She seems to be pretty ok too. She is only 16 so she hasn't been smoking 35 years like me and also only smoked about 1/2 a pack a day at the most. So anyways, I think I will probly make it though the weekend! GOOD JOB EVERYONE! Checking in. I took the Wellbutrin this morning and I don't know what is doing it, but I am really sleepy. The doctor also changed my blood pressure medicine yesterday, and I also am not used to eating in the morning so I don't know what is making me so sleepy. I'm feeling strong. I hope all the June-bugs are strong and smokefree today. I know I will be. Let us know how you are doing. Here is my check in for today and if it is ok for tomorrow, I will start us a new thread for tomorrow with the same name. This one is already 9 pages! Anyways, I am still smoke free and have made it thought hell week for the second time. Tomorrow I have to go to the dentist and I am scared, so everytime I think about it I want to smoke. Now, what possibe good would that do? I don't know but I guess the stress is causing a craving. I went to my new church today and had a really great time again but next week there will be no meetings. Also, I will be on vacation, so that will maybe be hard, I don't know. Anyways, pray for me and this dentist thing, I am really scared.
