Why would you envy people that are outside smoking, killing theirselves, having to stand outside away from others, getting their junkie fixes, making theirselves smell horrible ... why? I just don't get it. You've been quit long enough to know the lies. Don't fall for them again. I can't imagine not remembering why I quit. I'm glad you came to your senses before giving in to junkie thinking. I think it is time for some rewards. I can't imagine not remembering why I Quit... and if I did, I wouldn't waste any time getting back in touch with my Quit... Forgetting why? that would be a warning sign for me... I WAS WONDERING IF MY WEAKNESS AFTER ALL THIS TIME HAS TO DO WITH MENOPAUSE. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE FOR MY JUNKIE THINKING, I WAS JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS ANY INFO ON MENOPAUSE AND QUITTING SMOKING. COULD IT BE EXTRA HARD FOR ME BECAUSE OF ALL THE OTHER NONSENSE THAT I HAVE TO DEAL WITH...THE SWEATING..THE MOOD SWINGS..WEIGHT GAIN AND JUST FEELING EDGY A LOT OF THE TIME. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON COPING WITH BOTH THINGS?? I HAVE BEEN FEELING WIERD LATELY. I FIND MYSELF ENVYING THE PEOPLE OUTSIDE MY JOB WHO ARE SMOKING. THAT IS CRAZY THINKING, I KNOW, BUT THE THOUGHTS WERE THERE JUST THE SAME. THEN LAST NIGHT I WOKE UP AT 2PM. MY NOSE WAS STUFFED AND I COULDN'T BREATHE. IT WAS REALLY ANNOYING AND I HAD A HARD TIME GOING BACK TO SLEEP BUT WHEN I DID I HAD A DREAM ABOUT MY MOM. SHE PASSED AWAY 4 YEARS AGO AND I MISS HER DEARLY. SHE ALWAYS WANTED ME TO STOP SMOKING. SHE SUFFERED FROM ASTHMA ALL HER LIFE. SHE ALWAYS STRUGGLED TO BREATHE AND I ALWAYS TOOK IT FOR GRANTED THAT I COULD. NOT BEING ABLE TO BREATHE THROUGH MY NOSE REMINDED ME WHY I STOPPED IN THE FIRST PLACE. I REMEMBER NOW!!! IT WAS SO I COULD CONTINUE BEING ABLE TO BREATHE. I KNOW IT SOUNDS SILLY, BUT I ACTUALLY FORGOT THAT. ALL I WAS THINKING ABOUT WAS THAT I WAS MISSING SOMETHING. JUNKY THINKING I KNOW BUT I DIDNT REALIZE IT COULD GET ME SO FAR INTO MY QUIT. IT HAS BEEN 8 MONTHS. I HAVE LEARNED THAT I ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ON MY GUARD AND I ALSO WILL REMIND MYSELF WHEN I WAKE UP EVERY MORNING WHY I DONT SMOKE ANYMORE AND THEN TAKE A DEEP BREATH BECAUSE I CAN AND THANK GOD THAT I CAN My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/19/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 252 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,791 Amount Saved: $1008 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 10 Mins: 20 Seconds: 36
