Yesterday a lot of friends came over for me to color, cut, etc. their hair. (sometimes I swear I should open up another salon again) Anyway between clients/friends I use to smoke, back when I had my own business (b/k). Yesterday was probably the strongest trigger/memory for me that I have had so far. It has been approx. 4 to 5 years since I sold my business & that trigger had not made my 'list'. I think because I was not 'expecting' it, it jolted me a bit more at first.
Anyway the purpose of me writing this is to stress how important it is to be aware of your strongest smoking memories. Make a list of them. It is much easier to refocus yourself on something else when a memory hits if you are prepared ahead of time and you are expecting it.
When the memory hit me ... at first I felt uneasy (couple of seconds) ... I recognized it, I didn't let panic set in, I did not give the memory power to move forward and over take me and I refocused myself.
Happy as hell to be taking my power back and to be making non smoking memories!
Have a great weekend folks!

Hi Breaking Free,
You are realising things a lot earlier in your quit than I did. But then, I'm just a stupid old horse!
As somebody here has said before me 'Knowledge is Power'
Thanks for all you do here

Good Job on handeling that trigger memory. Alot of folks would have spent alot more time with it.
You just keep on keeping on.
