niks, Is it absolutly nessisary to drink? I don't drink but I understand form other people on the site that that presents extra challages. I have a vacation this week and I am under a lot of stress, so I don't know how it is going to go for me either. I am going to try to spend a lot of time in places where you can't smoke. I.E. my health club, the library, ect. and try to get outside some. I have to lean on my kids to help me. Maybe think about either not drinking or limiting your alcohol consumption, so you can keep your guard up better. You need to protect your quit right now because it is so new. Alright Niks! Great job maintaining your quit. You passed this test with flying colors! Eventually all quitters must enter into situations that have the potential to threaten their quits. The key is to sit down and really ask yourself if you're ready to enter into that situation and prep for temptation before hand. Again, congratulations Niks, we're very proud of you! Keep up the great progress, Danielle ______________________________ The SSC Support Team

I promise. If I can make it to 3 weeks in a breeze, then surely, I can continue this quit. I am just as determined then as I am now PLUS I saw myself progressing each time into the quits. Thank You HealerWithin. You had reached out to me the last time I had tried to quit. I am sorry if I let you down. I hope you have forgiven me but in all honesty, I was so scared for my family and so lost as well as scared for myself. I am not sure if that makes sense or not. I ran to the only thing I knew familar to me but I am thankful to have another chance and this time, I am not going to give up. I have to go the distance. JM2C but since drinking triggers your smoking attacks, perhaps you should jsut stick to non alcoholic drinks? If there is going to be mixed drinks there, why not try a seltzer water w/ some OJ in it? Believe it or not, the virgin drinks are jsut as tasty =) PLUS you do not have that hangover in the morning---you will be refreshed and clean =) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/26/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 37 Amount Saved: $8 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 57 Seconds: 22

Dance for me Niks...have the most awesome time in celebrating the non smoker that you are at this very moment. You will see things in a different light...know that each time you breath in fresh air, you are getting healthy...know your skin will look so much better and healthier soon....know you are giving your 2nd chance at living...grab it and run Niks.... I will keep you in my thoughts this weekend Niks...stay brave...I know you can do it...and I know how you feel at this very moment...take something to wear on your wrist to remind you of the great things you have done thus far from not smoking...wear a mood ring and watch it turn colors...something that will take your mind off of it...do not be afraid to tell someone who has offered you a smoke NO...explain you are happier w/o it but to respect how you feel.... We are in this together...((((( NIKS ))))) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/26/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 38 Amount Saved: $8 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 4 Seconds: 12
