The Stop Smoking Centre is a moderated group. The moderators are here oft times at unusual and odd hours. The moderators help, encourage and stand with us as we move through the journey from addiction to freedom. Your messages have provided hope for me at what sometimes seems the darkest hour. My gratitude goes to you. I want to thank each of you for how wonderful and encouraging you have been to me and so many others in this journey. So I will simply thank each of you. And the Stop Smoking Centre without this place I know would be smoking my pack a day. This is the bio of each moderator from the front page of this web site: [quote] The Stop Smoking Center Support Group is moderated by health care professionals. If you have any questions about smoking cessation, please feel free to send our Support Staff an email. Melanie, Support Specialist Melanie (RN) is currently working as a medical nurse with The Hamilton Health Science Corporation, specializing in medicine. I also want to express my thanks to the mods who are patient with all us addicts. From time to time we tend to go over the deep end and while we may joke about being deleted, we know that you are just doing your jobs. Thank you for all you do here. I want to also express my thanks to the mods. They do a heck of a good job and usually only get yelled at. It's often a thankless, dmd if you do, dmd if you don't job. I've seen other unmoderated boards and most are a true mess that are dominated by cliques or a few "leaders". Our mods keep this site the powerhouse it is. Thank you Phillip for writing this post. It is easy to forget the vital role of our five moderators. You moderators here are entrusted with a huge responsibility - to channel our thoughts, our opinions, our feelings, our support of each other in a direction that will be universally helpful. Many of us, on occasion, have lost our way during this quitting process. This site is like an individual - it also can lose its way. Without the gentle but firm guidance and direction given by you, this forum would be less than it is. I for one feel that I owe my non-smoking life to this site. Thank you. It's the moderators & the members. Sometimes it's just one member that helps us through the night. I wish I would have not stopped coming to this site. My visits were few and far between. I knew better and now I'm paying the high price for days off my life and the money. Paying to kill myself. There is no one person in here more important than another. We all need each other. The trick is to not get to confident and think you've got it licked because u don't. I want to thank the moderators and members who helped me stay quit for a year and 4 mos. And to all of you that are still sticking by my side wanting the best for me when I don't. We need others to love us until we can learn to love ourselves. This site has tons of love to give to a person that chooses to receive it. I hope I choose it again soon. Love, Cherie
