Well done Mookie, It is so good to know that others are at the start of their quit as well, and the fact that they are managing to maintain their quit is very motivational for myself. Congratulations, keep it up kolativey My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 87 Amount Saved: 35 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 15 Mins: 43 Seconds: 46

Congrats Mookie! I have also gonne 14 days (and 9hrs, 53mins) without a cigarette! It is the first time in a couple of years that I have gone this long. I just find I am having a hard time keeping my mind OFF smoking. Once I get into something, I am fine, but as soon as that task is completed, my mind goes back to thinking that I am no longer a smoker - which is good, but is a reminder, none the less. I look forward to the first day that I do not think about a cigarette!

Congratulations Mookie! I'm so glad I found your Day 14 post as I was just reading your posts during Hell Week and thinking "I will be exactly like this guy - just losing my mind and taking lots of big breaths" and I was so hoping that you'd made it. And you've made have - 14 days -that is so inspiring. And absolutely fantastic for you. Congratulations - I'll bet you are feeling awesome, you deserve to. Gaia. It feels soooooooooo good!!! I know that this is only the beginning but I'm hoping the worst is behind me. It is now up to me to remain smoke free. That old nicodemon just keeps coming and posting here and reading really helps to keep shooting him down. My thought are always focused on NOPE and I hope that one day the thoughts and feelings will not consume so much of me. I never would have made it this far without everyone's help and again I say thank you to all. My last quit was around X-Mas but I stopped coming here and soon started up smoking again in March. This time its for good. I have an appointment with the gym for Monday and I'm actually looking forward to it. 14 days is awesome Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......
