Brent I am so glad that you are a successful quitter and we don't have to put you in the freezer!
Thanks for the great post (and the significant message that came with it)

My Lord - I really do I have to start thinking before I speak or in this case "thinking before i post". Anyway, I do thank you for sharing your story.
Perhaps it is time to start "editing" before I post!

What a touching post, Brent!
Remind me never to allow you to babysit----however, can I send my husband to visit with you? :) I'll spring for the larger freezer if needed! ;)

During our summer holiday this year, my daughter left her pride and joy............a large and fairly stroppy young rabbit called Peter (I know its not very orignal as a name!) in the care of a friend. Friend also had Roger the hamster, slightly bald and very old and the property of my son.
"If the hamster dies.........? shall be pop him in the freezer?" said the friends father. "Yup" was the reply "then we can say goodbye and bury him in the garden" was my reply.
Two weeks later, we returned.
On the kitchen table was an envelope. To cut a long story short, it was the rabbit that had passed away.
You can imagine how distraught my daughter was. Her little world was devastated. I will not go into the somehow comical, surreal but also tragic job of picking up a frozen bunny in a supermarket bag and trying to bury him with legs frozen stiff.
Then it hit me as to how my daughter (and the rest of my family) would feel if I departed this world early....................because before I stopped smoking........that is what would have happened, of that I have no doubt.
Later in the summer we looked after a large Golden Retriever called Arnie. Somewhat tougue in cheek we arranged to pop him in a large chest freezer in the owners garage if the worst came to the worst.
The text message sent to them mid holiday read as follows;
"Put dog in freezer as arranged.............. :8o:
.................but he keeps getting out again!" ;p
And as for rabbits..............an enormous French Lop called Sally has arrived!
The hamster?.......even older, even balder.......but still going strong!
