Lashes,
I have two teenagers left at home so I know exactly what you are talking about. Here is what I think and do when that feeling hits. (and it does quite often)
First, it's not going to help to smoke. I didn't like being the only one doing all the work when I was smokine either. If you think about it, you felt like this sometimes when you were smoking too. None of it has anything whatsoever to do with smoking or not smoking.
Second, smoking would take away the one thing that you have done and are doing FOR YOURSELF! You don't do a lot for yourself do you? Well, this quit is a gift you are giving to yourself. The better health, better breathing, ect, it is for you and you alone! Don't take the gift back!
Then I try and cut all the tasks I have to do into little bits. I do only this little bit and don't worry about the rest while I am doing it. I only have to finish this one thing (fold this load of laundry, load the dishwasher whatever). When I'm finished I get ____ reward. (I use sugarless mints or something like that).
See if that helps. If not, maybe take a nap or something.
Love,
Mama
