Hi Janet I have been through exactly what you have had to do with your dog. My wife cried for weeks and I had to be strong and felt anything but. Then a year or so later we received a letter from abroad from a villa we had stayed in and they had found a photograph we had left there and enclosed it. It was my mate Daniel the Dog. It hurts and I know why you smoked Thank goodness it was before I quit! Keep going girl!!!!!!!!! Janet, Don't get angry at yourself for smoking. That won't solve anything. If you want to get angry, then get angry at the tobacco companies for creating something so deadly and addictive! Getting angry at yourself will only cause you to struggle with your new quit... you don't need that. Instead, be proud of yourself for trying again! Many here, myself included, couldn't do it the first time. It took many tries for me too... so you're definitely not alone. Welcome back! You'll do great! I just know it! Crave the Quit! Janet Welcome. The best way to quit is to never light another smoke. You know the drill use this place to vent and keep you sanity. Stay strong and find all of your resolve, your coping mechanisms and the methods that you will use to distract and divert your attention and the strategy that you will use to just plain stay quit. Keep on posting and letting us know how you are doing Phillip My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 203 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,060 Amount Saved: $1522.5 Life Gained: Days: 33 Hrs: 2 Mins: 2 Seconds: 47

Oh no...{{{hugs}}}. I so understand the dog thing and my heart goes out to you. You've already had to deal with enough, so don't beat yourself up over slipping. Just get back to it. Hi Janet, Our stories are very similar! I blew a quit of about the same amount of days............fight with the husband. As you know, smoking didn't solve anything, didn't help the situation and we were right back to the same point in our smoking almost immediately, huh? It took me several tries to get it, and now I don't smoke one day at a time. Hang tough girlfriend, you can do this. We are all here for you.
