Heartache and relationship breakdown

17 years ago 0 3368 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Sorry to hear you are going through a bit of a rough time Niks. I find myself reassessing and/or redefining a lot of my relationships at the moment. Having a relationship is a lot different when there is no drug to run off to to numb feelings. At first I was feeling very uncomfortable with my feelings ... because I was having to face them instead of smoke and hide from them. Now I am dealing with my feelings ... and am being very true to myself & it feels great. It can be very painful at times ... but I know in the end it will all be for the good. My thoughts are with you Niks. Keep on keepin' your Quit. Keep on being true to YOU! Glad to hear you're continuing to muddle through this rough spot. Think of how proud you'll be when you pass this test! Break the cycle by getting up and doing something else, find a new way to relax that's much more enjoyable. Lay out in the sun on a patio chair or towel? Hey niks!!! I'm so sorry to hear that you broke up, and I'm sorry you are feeling so sad!! I've brought some tea and treats over for you :) niks, there is a reason why all things happen. Perhaps this was going to happen sooner or later and the fact that it happenned now just shows you that you never really know when something is going to shift in your life, but I feel that we are never given anything we can not handle. You must be strong enough to go through it or else it would not be happenning. Same with your quit. it was no accident you made the decision to quit 22 days ago, and for good. I know your determination in this and it is unmovable (I've seen this quality in every successful quit I've seen insofar!) So what you need to do is focus on the shift that is for the BETTER and the POSITIVE because change is going to happen now that you've quit, and it will sometimes be unexpected but it will happen. Chances are, and I don't really know your background, but if he was a smoker, then that could very well speak volumes as to why you may have broken up. Not to say he would not have quit sooner or later, but there is always a reason, somewhere within it all that we just cannot see for the moment it is happenning to us. I hope this makes sense, it's just what I've felt to share with you here. And you have tons of support here so we will be here if you are still not very cheery. In fact, you are not expected to be happy about this. Cry it out hun, if you need to, and let it go. It is good to cleanse if you need to, it is VERY healing for you! Run yourself a bath and relax. Take care of yourself, be gentle and rest. Your quit is really progressing along and quite nicely, you are VERY strong so don't allow anything to threaten your quit by any means. You are in the Cafe right now, which means you don't have far to go to be on the cruise ship! Protect yourself, protect your quit, come here and post away! Hope you are feeling better soon, please let us know how you are doing :) Many Blessings Sent Your Way! Eve :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 87 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 697 Amount Saved: $261 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 7 Mins: 59 Seconds: 50

niks I am SO glad to see you FEELING BETTER AND SMOKE FREE!!! I knew you could get through this, you are way too strong to allow anything to threaten your quit. And you will get through ANYTHING. You just proved it to yourself. You have the determination to stay quit by avoiding the situations in your life that would otherwise lead you "asHtray" to where you know you don't want to go. Your inner stregnth is very becoming on you ;) You're working very hard and you are succeeding, for that you should be very proud, we all are...REWARD YOURSELF :) Many Blesings!!
