OK Guys, here is my corny song. I really find the words mean a lot to me though. Its a little bit of an out of date song, but who cares? (P.S. Isn't copy and paste wonderful???) Ordinary World by Duran Duran Came in from a rainy Thursday On the avenue Thought I heard you talking softly I turned on the lights, the TV And the radio Still I can't escape the ghost of you What has happened to it all? Crazy, some'd say Where is the life that I recognize? Gone away But I won't cry for yesterday There's an ordinary world Somehow I have to find And as I try to make my way To the ordinary world I will learn to survive Passion or coincidence Once prompted you to say "Pride will tear us both apart" Well now pride's gone out the window Cross the rooftops Run away Left me in the vacuum of my heart What is happening to me? Crazy, some'd say Where is my friend when I need you most? Gone away But I won't cry for yesterday There's an ordinary world Somehow I have to find And as I try to make my way To the ordinary world I will learn to survive Papers in the roadside Tell of suffering and greed Here today, forgot tomorrow Ooh, here besides the news Of holy war and holy need Ours is just a little sorrowed talk And I don't cry for yesterday There's an ordinary world Somehow I have to find And as I try to make my way To the ordinary world I will learn to survive Every one Is my world, I will learn to survive Any one Is my world, I will learn to survive Any one Is my world Every one Is my world

Wow, Lady - that was just what I needed this morning. I'm having a TOUGH time right now. I managed to get to work but a half hour late - I have a new boss here ( :( ) and she just asked me if I think there'll be a day I ever come into work happy (?!) :( makes me want to cry!!!! I KNOW I've been in good moods in the morning before!!!!!! I know she's had tough times in her past (she's talked about it to me) so how can she not know how rude & arrogant that comment was ?!! she's only known me since I've quit smoking so she doesn't know that I have moments of joy too -- and she certainly doesn't take time to come over and say hello periodically throughout the day to see if my mood has changed! I just feel like I have all I can handle with SHOWING UP, for ANYTHING right now -- I feel so pushed in a corner right now - as I'm beginning to spin - all I want to do is crawl into a hole and forget it all...... :( Ok, deep breath, self-talk, this is momentary - I have control - if I'm feeling bad, or guilty, or "less than" I have the power to change that. So, I'm going to do my best this morning to breathe through this, and get something accomplished so that I can remove the guilt that I'm holding over my head. The weather is sooo gloomy and overcast right now - when you're struggling emotionally, feeling gloomy and down, it certainly doesn't help when the weather is reflecting the very same thing!!! (in the time I've written this, panic has gripped me and now I'm crying!! -- let me mention too, that's it's PMS time right now too so EVERYTHING is so much more "intense" - you know?!) ok, can't spin out in negative thoughts....Thanks to you guys for being here, I'm glad we have each other! luv, SCBB

Ahhhh.... My newest song addiction (for the last year anyway)is one by Allanis Moressett.. off the CD 'Jagged little pill' I love the whole CD but especially like this song. here are the lyrics.. ALL I REALLY WANT Do I stress you out? My sweater is on backwards and inside out And you say how appropriate I don€™t want to dissect everything today I don€™t mean to pick you apart you see But I can€™t help it There I go jumping the before the gunshot has gone off Slap me with a splintered ruler And it would knock me to the floor if I wasn€™t there already If only I could hunt the hunter And all I really want is some patience A way to calm the angry voice And all I really want is some deliverance Do I wear you out? You must wonder why I€™m relentless and all strung out I€™m consumed by the chill of solitary I€™m like Estella I like to reel it in and then spit it out I€™m frustrated by your apathy And I am frightened by the corrupted ways of this land If only I could meet the maker And I am fascinated by the spiritual man And am humbled by his humble nature What I wouldn€™t give to find a soul mate Someone else to catch this drift And what I wouldn€™t give to meet kindred Enough about me, lets talk about you for a minute Enough about you, lets talk about life for awhile The conflicts, the craziness, and the sound of pretenses Falling all around€¦all around Why are you so petrified of silence? Here can you handle this? (SILENCE) Did you think about your bills, your ex, your deadlines Or when you think your gonna die Or did you long for the next distraction And all I need now is intellectual intercourse A soul to dig the hole much deeper And I have no concept of time other than it is flying If only I could kill the killer All I really want is some peace man A place to find a common ground And all I really want is a wavelength All I really want is some comfort A way to get my hands untied And all I really want is some justice Oh how€¦

Hi Beth, I saw you logged in :) Hmmm, songs - honestly? when I'm struggling, pumped full of anxiety, feeling a bit nuts - my most recent "find" was the Linkin Park CD or CrazyTown (really the name of the band, not making it up! ;) ) - you'd think I'd reach for something soothing and calming, but what I found is because it was punkish & angst it actually WAS comforting vs. something calm and mellow that I couldn't relate to in the moment. Also though, it can change - my anxiety & panic doesn't always "look" the same if that makes sense - so sometimes what worked one time, doesn't work another time.......sometimes Phil Collins works wonders for me - I just never know - so I guess I don't have a song that I turn to but I do use music OFTEN to help my moods..... There, did I sound dorky enough ? ;) I don't think you need to worry about "corny" here - we're all family and I think we all have total compassion and understanding for what we go through and what it takes to survive & cope!!! (I'm gonna hop over to the 'other' site real quick but I'll try to check back before I head off to bed, if I can't make it back (I'm starting to get sleepy fast) then I'll certainly check in tomorrow!) -- p.s. how are you doing? has today been a good day? -SCBB

Hey everyone, Great quote by the way, Tank. I find music really therapeutic, especially when i can find that one perfect song that expresses how i feel. I was wondering whether anyone has found any songs that they can relate to with regard to their panic attacks? Don't be afraid to be corny! You'll be making me feel better! Actually, i found one i like. If anyone is interested in knowing what it is, let me know! (I don't want to be the first corny one!)

Him Weary. Welcome to the site. Red wrote about moving out of state and being unavailable for a little while. Don't know when you'll get a reply, but don't feel upset if you don't get one right away, ok? -- Anne-Marie, Site Administrator
