Flowerpot,
There's a line in one of my favorite songs that goes, "there's no such thing as a failure who keeps trying." And how true that is! You're NOT a failure... you're not a loser... unless you give up! I'd like to tell you a story about someone who just couldn't seem to get the quit right...
This person quit in July of last year, lost her job on day 34 of the quit, and smoked a cigarette. She felt SO bad about it, but kept going. 34 days later, she was at a concert and smoked 2 puffs of a cigarette. She felt really, really bad about it, felt like giving up, felt like a failure, but kept going. 64 days after that, she went to a bar and smoked 7 cigarettes. Boy, everyone at this site about gave up on her. She felt so hopeless! She felt like she would NEVER be able to quit successfully.
Well, as I'm sure you have figured out, that girl was me. After that last slip, I reset my meter and am sitting here today, after almost 300 days completely smoke free with not even one puff, a successful quitter. And here you can be too. Just have faith in yourself. You can quit if you want it badly enough. Just don't ever give up on giving up! The quit is yours for the taking! It's right at your grasp! But like Henry Ford said, "whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right." Don't ever give up on yourself! The quit is soooooo worth it!
Crave the Quit!
Pam
