I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO QUIT. I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR YEARS. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I AM QUITTING FOR ME, MYSELF!! I WANTED TO DO THIS. NOT EVERYONE ELSE WANTING ME TO DO IT! IT HAS REALLY MADE IT SO EASY FOR ME. I HAVE SMOKED FOR 35 YEARS. ABOUT A PACK A DAY, SOMETIMES MORE OR LESS. I TRIED THE PATCH BUT IT WOULDN'T STAY ON. I PRAYED ABOUT IT. I KNOW I AM WEAK, AND I HAVE NO WILL POWER. I DECIDED TO NOT WEAR THE PATCH THIS TIME. GOD ANSWERED MY PRAYERS. I HAVE NOT SMOKED A CIGARETTE IN 15 DAYS, AND KNOW THAT I WILL NEVER PUT ANOTHER ONE IN MY MOUTH. I AM WATCHING WHAT I EAT, SO I DON'T GET FULL AND WANT ONE. I BOUGHT SOME EXERCISE EQUIPMENT AND A BIKE TO KEEP BUSY. I AM AROUND SMOKERS BUT IT DOES NOT BOTHER ME AS WHEN I SEE THEM SMOKING, I REMEMBER THE NASTY TASTE, NASTY SMELL, THE MONEY I SPENT AND HOW THE CIGGS. CONTROLLED MY LIFE. I LIVED MY LIFE AROUND THEM. I CAN BREATH EASIER, TASTE MY FOOD, AND KNOW MY BREATH SMELLS GREAT! SO FOR ME THE POSITIVES WON. THE NEGATIVES (DEVIL,MONSTER) HAS LOST. THEY WILL NEVER WIN IN MY LIFE AGAIN. I PRAY FOR EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU AND KNOW YOU CAN QUIT JUST AS I DID. BE STRONG, STAY WITH THIS PROGRAM, AND IF YOU FALL, GET BACK UP AND GO AGAIN. YOU WILL WIN!!! PEPPERMINT :)

I sit in awe and admiration of long term smokers, some of you have been smoking for longer than i have been alive and i truly, truly commend you and your efforts. I beleive there comes a time in our lives where we are at the point of no return. I truly despised smoking that much that even through all the craziness of this quit in my heart and soul i KNOW i will never smoke again EVER. You are such a special lady Peppermint and i am so proud of you, i look at you and say, if you can do it after 35 years so can i. One day at a time... PrincessC :) x
