My meter is wrong. That's what it would have been had I not lost the quit in July. PS...I have always quit cold turkey My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 109 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 879 Amount Saved: $446.9 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 7 Mins: 47 Seconds: 10

I feel your pain. I lost a seven year quit some time ago and just lost another month quit back in July. I understand what you are going throughI'm there. I have decided today that I will quit tomorrow. The basic truth that I've recognized is I may never experience the feelings I had when I was able to quit for seven years or a month. Indeed, the feelings were very different for both quits. The basic thing that keeps us smoking, I coming to realize, is our fear of experiencing life without our drug of choice and dealing with all the thoughts and emotions that come with it. Quitting smoking is easyLook at yourselfyou can go for a day or two without any. If you can do a day or two, you can do 50, a 100, and 365. The key, I believe, is simply accepting the feelings and thoughts that come with the quit. The physical withdrawal is virtually non-existentno different from periods of life when we get sick. It's the psychological that kicks us in the rear because we won't stand up to it. Onemoretime, I want you to take my hand and join me in quitting tomorrow. Let's do this together. We are at the same place, experiencing some of the same psychic stuff, and I deeply believe that we can do this thing together. Peace.
