yeah, I didn't mean to post that message yet, so let me continue. The positive 1. I smoked 140 less cigarettes than I normally do this week. 2. I didn't gain any weight 3. I took my walking to the next level andstarted to run. 4. I learned I can run 2 miles without stopping. and perhaps the most important 5. I slipped but I didn't fall and I remain a quitter. So heres looking forward to a COMPLETELY smoke free week 2

I know I gotta stay away from the smokers, Its tough all my friends smoke, haven't seen them in a week, my roommates smoke, so when I'm home I'm in my room. unfortunatly at one of my jobs I don't have the option to work with none smokers, but I'm only there once a week so I'll get through it.

Today is my day seven, and all in all it was a good week. There were many positives, but unfortunatly I had a slip up and smoked one cigarette yesterday. I was careful to avoid the things that make me want to smoke (IE no drinking) last week but I couldn't avoid my biggest trigger, my old job. I cut my hours alot which is why I'm able to try this quit, but yesterday I got called in and gave in. It's a little disheartening, but I've decided to stick with the positive. Crush, That's the spirit! You've had a slip, learn from it and keep going. Have you been keeping up with your rewards? Danielle __________________________ The SSC Support Team

We all do remember how tough it was to quit. But one suggestion: get rid of any cigarettes, butts, ashtrays, cigarette cases, and other paraphernalia you have around you. The secret to quitting is not to light one. If you don't have any around you, you won't. If you have people giving you cigarettes, stay away from them for a while. If you are truly committed to quitting, you just have to do this. On the other hand, your attitude is great. You'll be able to run farther and faster if you stay clean and healthy. Crush, I admire you for getting right back down to business. Have you thought of any ways that you can handle the situation differently if it comes up again? Drinking water or going for a quick walk, maybe? It is tough that you have so many smokers around but consider yourself the trailblazer and show them how it's done! What ever you do...don't give in!
