does"site" ever make you want to smoke?

Hi Correen, This happened to me too for quite some time. I am a part of 3 different smoking cessation sites and it didn't matter where I read, there were times when reading about smoking made the urge kick in. You haven't lost your mind! :) Kimm - No nicotine in this body for One Month, Twenty Eight Days, 22 Hours and 38 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 3 Days and 2 Hours, by avoiding the use of 899 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $247.88. Hi Correen Yes, talking about smoking makes me think about it more. When you get to a certain point it may be better to take a break from the site and come back when you like or have a need. Just a thought. Got to go to a wedding now. Have a pleasant day.

I have a problem with the $80 a carton, because Nicodemon has been doing price comparisions lately while I've been standing at bus stops. Hi Correen Most definately it does and some days i just have walk away for a few minutes then come back. Danielle is 100% right, when you see the word you instantly associate that word with the activity then your brain has triggers. You are not going crazy. LOL Sounds nuts but I guess when your such an addict that could happen. Have I lost my mind :8o: Correen My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,187 Amount Saved: $108.75 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 11 Mins: 8 Seconds: 52

Thanks all!
When you see the word smoking or cigarette appear on your computer screen what thought or image pops into your mind? Is it a negative image/thought of smoking or an old memory?
You know I dont know....i dont think seeing the words bothers me,as much as reading about the actions. Sometimes I would read something about smoking or someone smoking and it would make me want to smoke.....yeah I guess that would be a memory?? But i would feel the urge really strong. Then i was getting ahead of myself reading post from long timers..... they still had the urge. Not ready to read that on somedays, scares me to death. But on other days its just what i need to hear. That they still struggle and its normal.....and OK. Thanks so much! Its so nice to know that your not losing your sanity. My daughter swears I am! I told her she needs to leave me alone! LOL I will take a break when I feel that happening. I do enjoy reading and learning here. Seems like when your feeling at your limit...you click a post and there is someones post that just hits right where you need it. Another thing that is so neat about having others that know and understand.....is they know what an accomplishment this is for a ex smoker. Non smokers can NEVER really *get* this habit or the mind control it can have. So when we celebrate we do know its a big big deal. Hi Correen, Finally found a post for how I was feeling when I was coming here frequently since i released myself and stop living on this site, my craves have left not completely but they are not as bad as they were, I am not as depressed either...I don't know i guess just reading so much about wanting and than those who went back to smoking just made me want to go back also..instead i got off this site for a good while and just come back on today and checking in. Going to leave again of course but it's good to see mostly everyone is sticking to it I know I have and it feels great. Good luck to you all P.Loving ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/2/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,254 Amount Saved: $161.95 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 10 Mins: 12 Seconds: 55
