Why have I stopped?
My Quit after 50 years means so many things here are a few.In no particular order.
I am proud of me
My wife is proud of me
My grandchildren love it(My youngest used to call me Smokey Phil)
My counsellor is proud of me
My friends are stunned
I have met all the wonderful people on this site and I am proud to know and love them.
I can breathe better.
I smile at people in the street and they smile back.
I whistle when I am walking.
I cant stop singing(pretty badly!)
My car interior gleams and smells fresh
I gleam and smell fresh!
I have more money in my pocket for the good things in life.
I am sure there are more.

Hey, Phil it was 50 years for me also. OMG what did we do with our bodies - time will tell.
I quit because I was sick of it. I wanted to breath better and smell so good. I don't wake up in the middle of the night and go outside for a smoke. Believe it gets really cold here in the midwest in the winter ;p I like the freedom. That word is so presious. I am free to go and do what I want and not be controled by those things.
Anyway I thought you were going on vaction. If you are have a great time.
