Don't you just hate those BLAH days! Thank God we have the good ones in between. 24 days! Way to go! I'll be thinking of you today. Exercise seems to be the only thing that can pull me out of the blahs once they start (but sometimes I just have to crawl into bed and feel sorry for myself) and all this in 5 days (like I think I know anything about quitting) We'll be with ya! Hope the blahs turn to betters! Oh Kate, I've been where you are right now and then some. Cry, kick, scream, run in circles if you have to, just don't smoke. How about a walk, get out of the house, change your environment for a bit. And remember...THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY. My favourite saying right now? This too shall pass. Hang in there girl. We're all here for you. Hi Kate! It is yukkie to feel the negative feelings,,,but NO BUTTS!!! It is yukkier to give into it all. Breath, breath, breath, and follow the wise advice of the others writing to you this morning. I tested my emotions one day when I got the case of the wonkies and changed everything into ANGER. I suddenly was pissed off at the companies making these damned cancer sticks, I was pissed off because I was having withdrawls, I was pissed off I EVER started smoking...and when I took a breath and reached for a cough candy...I was no longer sad or miserable, I was proud of myself and when I turned my sadness into pride I had my power back. Each of us are different in how we turn our emotions around and each of us are creative in our techniques to keep off the devil's beast. We are proud of you Kate, we are sad when you are sad, we are miserable when you feel miserable because we understand. Find your power, in your way because you know deep down, you know you are a non-smoker and you are NOT prepared to give up. Keep us posted. We are with you. Read and post often. Love and Light. Kate a beautiful sunny day in Athens, how I wish I was there with you. Almost a month for you how proud are you? Nothing worthwhile is easy, deep breaths in and out, you can do this I know you can. Go for a walk, distract yourself, or let it all out cry, yell, throw eggs in the bathtub LOL. Get back here and post if it helps but don't smoke it's bad for you and it stinks. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 95 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,432 Amount Saved: $380 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 14 Mins: 14 Seconds: 18

Kate, you have lots of options about how you want to deal with this day. You can decide upfront that it's going to be a blah day and so you just get with the program -- lounge around, listen to music, be lazy, pamper yourself, read, work on your journal. Or you can decide to get out, enjoy the fresh air, go shopping, do something for someone else, work in the garden, go to the beach. Whatever you decide to do, remember -- just like quitting smoking, it's your choice. You are in control now!
