I am going to try cold turkey tomorrow morning

Thanks everyone. I think my first pang of fear is starting to set in. I have 3 cigarettes left for the night and i'm going to bed soon. I'm afraid when I wake up with no cigarettes, i'm going to internally freak out. I've done this at least a dozen times before. I really want to quit. My husband is a non-smoker. Hates cigarettes. I have decided not to tell him i'm quitting so he's not dissapointed in me again if I fail.

Thank you soo much! I have been looking for the right forum to join. Preferably an active one, so it feels good to have gotten a response already. I bookmarked this page so I will definately be back tomorrow and I will start reading. :)

btw. Tomorrow will be the first time I try to quit cold turkey. I just have a feeling it might not work out. But if it doesn't, i'm ready to go on the patch again.

Hopefully. My name is Rachel. I have been a smoker for 20 years, i'm 34 years old. I just recently got married 2 years ago and my husband and I have decided to have a baby within the next few years and I would like to be healthy first. I also am going to start going to enroll myself in a gym in my town and I know I can't workout and smoke at the same time. I also have been drinking a lot so quitting smoking will hopefully help me wit that too.

Hopless Smokeless, Welcome to the forum! Getting over the psychological part of smoking is just as important as overcoming the physical withdrawals. Quitting smoking will be the best gift you can ever give yourself and your baby. Don't be ashamed of using a NRT if that's what it takes. And, come here, post and read as often as you can. It helps!
