Hi ex-slave I use Mentos as my after meal treat. I guess you are now completely nicotine free Congratulations and keep up the good fight :) :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 34 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 516 Amount Saved: $136 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 12 Mins: 54 Seconds: 57

Today was my first day without any NRT. I felt fine! There was the ever present knowingness that you are not going to smoke. That is kind of bothersome. I got some Mentos. They are about the size of a lozenge and they don't dissolve real quickly (like most mints). I just parked one of those in my mouth when i would get those thoughts of smoking. I was very encouraged. The awareness that I am an ex smoker is still hanging around my brain. I chewed alot of straws today until they were flat as a tortilla! I have a large supply of straws. But, overall, a very nice day with no nicotine. ex, Good for you for being prepared, this will help you ease into the life of no NRT. Make sure you continue to have your coping mechanism around and know that we are always here :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
